Six years ago Dutch design agency Momkai teamed up with a group of idealistic Dutch journalists to crowdfund a different type of journalism platform: De Correspondent.
$1.7 million was raised in 30 days to launch the platform: a crowdfunding world record. Later this year the English-language “unbreaking news” platform: The Correspondent - will be launched, having raised $2.6 million.
