Playful interaction and seriously crafted 3D animation

Dutch creative digital agency De Jongens van Boven - based in the South-East of the Netherlands - collaborated with start-up brewing company BrewDistrict24. De Jongens created a smoothly animated, on-brand, fun and fresh website to launch this classic craft beer brand brewed without fuss.

A peek behind the brand

BrewDistrict24 classic craft beers are brewed without fuss. With just water, grain, yeast and hops. The brand returns to the essence where diverse and authentic flavours are created. Pure and honest. According to them and De Jongens: damn delicious.

About the target audience

This is no longer about men with beards. The market has shifted, and craft beers are the beers to drink for everyone over 18. Beer drinkers are looking for special beers to drink and enjoy on special moments. BrewDistrict24 focuses on these special moments of spending quality time while enjoying a great beer. No fuss, pure and honest beers to enjoy the flavours and the moment.

The online experience

De Jongens van Boven have created an online brand experience that matches the nature of these beers: smooth, playful, fun and without fuss. They also cleverly use the detail of the beer label designs by ROSH Studios. A fresh and clean design - including typography, 3D, easy navigation and smooth animations - that is very pleasing to the eye and easy to get used to. A great online representation of the brand.

From a fun 'click the can' game and 'spin the wheel' animation to find your beer to beautifully crafted, animated 3D cans and a polished slider/carrousel with fab transition animation, to swipe through the beers.

The BrewDistrict24 website is a great example of an online product experience where design, 3D animation and technology (including Three.js, GSAP, SWUP js, Lenis js) come together. A digital experience that encourages playful interaction.

Fresh look-and-feel matches the packaging of the product pretty well. Lovely 3D animation and smooth transitions. The sexiness is in that slider.
