Discovering and exploring European music artists online

Eurosonic Noorderslag '21 by

View caseAgency

Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) is a non-profit - European artist only - music festival and conference. ESNS attracts more than 4,000 professional delegates, including 400 international festivals. It showcases around 350 European artists to over 40,000 visitors. Amsterdam-based digital agency Bravoure was commissioned by Dutch public broadcast company VPRO, and media partner of Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS), to develop a streaming platform. A platform where everyone could experience the festival online - four evenings in a row.

The platform is a central place where online interaction with music lovers is maximised. Livestreams offer an unspoiled front row view. Easy channel-hopping makes discovery of all 189 acts really simple. The re-watch option and artist-shuffle-feature only add to this. In addition to watching the performance, you can also read background information about the artist.

The first online edition of ESNS has exceeded all expectations. The artists got a much bigger reach than ever before. The shows and platform were highly praised by media, music lovers and professionals. ESNS' mission - promoting and showcasing new Dutch and European music - was more than accomplished.

Nice, fresh colour palette. Content feels light and snackable. Super-simple way of navigating between artists.
