A bold digital identity showcasing diversity
in dance and music

Korzo by

View caseAgency

It all started in an old cinema building in The Hague where a group of creative squatters created a space for progressive dance and music. Now Korzo has grown into THE biggest dance production house in The Netherlands. Besides dance, they have inspirational ambitions, including an integrated vision for music and theatre. This vision required a new identity and website. Created by Dutch visual design agency Het Echte Werk, based in Rotterdam.

Het Echte Werk designed a distinct but flexible identity - sophisticated and bold at the same time. Leaving room for all creators within the Korzo platform to express their different styles and ideas, but still communicating the Korzo umbrella brand overall.

The 'dynamic K' featured within the identity lends itself perfectly to the intersection of the different disciplines within Korzo. Also, elements of the Korzo 'dynamic K' are playfully used as (sticky) tape, highlighting the self-made origin of Korzo. This is complemented by a strong word logo, a bold palet of colours, as well as a mix of contemporary and classic typography - all creating stand-out. The agency introduced a flexible grid-system allowing Korzo to easily incorporate a wide variety of photography and content - suiting Korzo's diversity.

The new Korzo website - the main hub for viewing what Korzo has on offer, including acts, artists and classes - is a great example of their new, bold identity.

Intriguing and unique layout. Overall, nice effects and design, communicating diversity without being overwhelmed.
